Associate Professor Wataru Inoue is a researcher in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on neurobiology, stress response, and synaptic plasticity to examine how the brain adapts to psychological and physiological challenges. He seeks to understand the neural circuits that regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis during chronic stress. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from McGill University, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience and a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute. He supervises graduate students in the field of neurophysiology and is currently available for doctoral student mentorship.
