Associate Professor Arlene MacDougall is a researcher in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. Her primary investigative work centers on global mental health, early psychosis, and social innovation to improve outcomes for individuals with severe mental illness. She seeks to develop sustainable, community-based interventions that address the social and economic barriers to psychiatric care. Holding a Medical Degree and specialized training in public health, she is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She supervises graduate students exploring health systems and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and research inquiries.
