Professor Lauren Flynn is a researcher in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology and the School of Biomedical Engineering at Western University. Her primary investigative work centers on tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and adipose-derived stem cells for soft tissue reconstruction. She seeks to develop decellularized extracellular matrix scaffolds that promote natural tissue regeneration in complex wounds and reconstructive surgeries. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto, she is a core member of the Bone and Joint Institute. She supervises a large research group in the Flynn Lab and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and academic consultation for prospective graduate students.
