Associate Professor Jeremy Burton serves in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Western University. His research focuses on microbiome, probiotics, and urological health to investigate the role of bacteria in human disease. He explores how the urinary and intestinal microbiota influence kidney stone formation and surgical recovery. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Otago, he is a core member of the Bone and Joint Institute. He teaches graduate seminars on microbial ecology and supervises students at the Lawson Health Research Institute, currently welcoming inquiries from prospective researchers.
