BIO
Associate Professor Rithwik Ramachandran conducts research in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University. His scholarly work emphasizes molecular pharmacology, protease-activated receptors, and vascular inflammation, particularly regarding the signaling mechanisms in cardiovascular and joint diseases. He investigates how enzyme-activated receptors regulate tissue response to injury and pain. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Calgary, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience and the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate researchers in cellular signaling and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and student inquiries.
