Professor Kamal Kumar, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, focuses his research on obstetric anesthesia, chronic post-surgical pain, regional anesthesia, perioperative analgesia, and high-risk maternal care. His publication record includes work on early risk factors for chronic pain and regional techniques in gynecologic oncology surgery, while Western University identifies him as Program Director of the Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship.
