BIO
Dr. Anita Singh is a Palliative Care Physician with over 30 years of clinical experience in both hospital and community settings. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, followed by a Family Medicine residency at Western University in London, Ontario, and a fellowship in Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital.
Based in London, Ontario, Dr. Singh provides palliative care consultation at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, the Parkwood Palliative Care Unit, St. Joseph’s Hospice, and supports a regional community palliative care team. She serves as the Citywide Medical Leader for the Palliative Care Program in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University and is an Associate Professor, with a focus on postgraduate and continuing professional education.
Dr. Singh has played a key role in the development of the Palliative Medicine Residency Program at Western University and the creation of several innovative educational initiatives, including an award-winning online palliative care course and a communication course using standardized families. In addition to her educational leadership, she has been actively involved in local and provincial committees, where she has contributed to broader efforts aimed at enhancing Palliative Care service delivery locally and provincially.
