Associate Professor Steven Kerfoot conducts research in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Western University. His scholarly work focuses on B-cell biology, autoimmunity, and multiple sclerosis, particularly the role of the adaptive immune system in central nervous system damage. He investigates the interaction between immune cells and the blood-brain barrier during chronic inflammation. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Calgary, he is a researcher at the Robarts Research Institute. He supervises graduate students exploring the molecular triggers of autoimmune disease and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and student inquiries.
