Professor Jessica Grahn is situated in the Department of Psychology at Western University. Her research specializes in music cognition, beat perception, and neuroscience, focusing on how the brain processes rhythm and how music affects motor systems. She works to clarify how rhythmic auditory stimulation can be used to improve walking in patients with Parkinson's disease. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, she is a core member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She supervises graduate research in the Music and Neuroscience Lab and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and inquiries regarding the therapeutic applications of musical rhythm.
