Associate Professor Martha de Lacerda Louzada, Departments of Medicine, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on multiple myeloma, venous thromboembolism, clinical epidemiology, thrombosis, and hematology outcomes. Her work combines hematology with clinical epidemiology to study clotting complications, malignant blood disorders, and evidence-based treatment decisions. Her research mission is to improve outcomes for patients with hematologic disease through rigorous clinically grounded research. She also serves as a hematology consultant and brings graduate training in clinical epidemiology to her work at Western University.
