I am a graduate of McMaster University School of Medicine and achieved my residency at Queen’s University in General Surgery. I subsequently completed two fellowships at the University of Ottawa in Pediatric General Surgery and Pediatric Critical Care/Trauma. In 2009, I was appointed as Assistant professor in the Divisions of Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery at the University of Western Ontario.  Most recently, I was elected as Director of Pediatric Trauma, in the Department of Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario and London Health Sciences Centre.
