Professor John Alexander Fraser serves in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences and the Department of Ophthalmology at Western University. His research integrates neuro-ophthalmology, visual field, and clinical trials to examine the relationship between brain disorders and visual function. He focuses on the diagnostic challenges of optic nerve diseases and the impact of neurological trauma on the visual system. Holding a Medical Degree from Dalhousie University, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He teaches residents and medical students while supervising graduate researchers exploring the neurobiology of vision, and he is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student supervision.
