Alena Robin is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Visual Arts at Western University. A trained art historian, she specializes in religious art from Colonial Mexico.  She has also served at Western University as anAssociate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, where she taught Hispanic visual culture. Dr. Robin earned her Ph.D at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and later did a postdoc at Université de Montréal.
