Professor Wei-Yang Lu serves in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University. His research integrates neuroimmunology, stroke, and neuroplasticity to investigate the recovery mechanisms of the central nervous system. He focuses on the interaction between immune cells and neurons in the brain following ischemic injury and the development of chronic pain. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto, he is a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute and a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He supervises graduate researchers in molecular neuroscience and is currently available for doctoral student mentorship and collaborative research inquiries.
