BIO

Associate Professor Ewan Macpherson conducts research in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western University. His research portfolio includes auditory localization, psychoacoustics, and spatial hearing, focusing on how humans process sound in complex environments. He concentrates on the effects of hearing impairment and assistive devices on the ability to perceive sound directionality. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he is affiliated with the National Centre for Audiology and the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He teaches advanced hearing science and is available for graduate student supervision in the Spatial Hearing Laboratory.
