Associate Professor Shahar Lavi, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research in interventional cardiology focused on cardiovascular interventional research, endothelial function, coronary physiology, arterial stiffness, and antiplatelet therapy. His work examines how vascular biology and catheter-based care can improve diagnosis and treatment in complex heart disease. His research mission is to translate mechanistic cardiovascular insight into safer, more precise interventional care. He also serves as Director of Cardiovascular Interventional Research and brings prior cardiology training from Rambam Medical Centre and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
