Professor Paul Tarc serves within Critical Policy, Equity, and Leadership Studies at Western University. His research program investigates progressive and critical modes of education through theories of ethics, representation, and subjectivity. By incorporating keywords such as international education, globalization and education, and progressive pedagogies, he explores the pedagogical challenges of the International Baccalaureate and cosmopolitan learning. Dr. Tarc’s mission involves thinking education through global crises to find elemental qualities of learning. He teaches graduate courses on international education in a globalizing world and provides extensive doctoral supervision. Previously, he taught for nine years in schools across South America and Southeast Asia.
