Assistant Professor Christopher M. Byrne, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, works in Emergency Medicine with interests in addiction medicine and substance use disorders, point-of-care ultrasound, and medical education. His academic work links urgent care practice with bedside diagnosis, clinician training, and care for patients affected by substance use. His mission is to improve emergency care by combining practical scholarship with better education and more responsive front-line medicine. He also holds a Master of Science in Evidence-Based Health Care.
