Professor Alejandro Lazo-Langner, Departments of Medicine, Oncology, and Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on venous thromboembolism, clinical epidemiology, health services and outcomes research, clinical trials, and systematic reviews and meta-analysis. His work examines determinants of thromboembolic disease and improves evidence for diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes in hematology and thrombosis care. His mission is to strengthen patient care through rigorous clinically grounded research. He also serves as Head of Hematology and brings graduate training in clinical epidemiology to his role at Western University.
