Associate Professor Robert Cumming is situated in the Department of Biology at Western University. His research specializes in neurobiology, metabolism, and aging, focusing on the cellular mechanisms that protect the brain from neurodegenerative diseases. He works to clarify how metabolic shifts in neurons and glia contribute to the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related conditions.
