Professor Trevor G. Shepherd, Departments of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on ovarian cancer metastasis, chemo-resistance, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, autophagy, and spheroid culture models. His lab, within the Translational Ovarian Cancer Research Program, studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive late-stage disease and tests new therapeutic strategies for women with ovarian cancer. His mission is to turn translational ovarian cancer biology into improved therapies and longer disease-free survival. He also collaborates closely with gynecologic oncology teams across Western University.
