Professor Francois Lagugne-Labarthert serves in the Department of Chemistry at Western University. His research program integrates nanophotonics, raman spectroscopy, and surface science to probe the molecular organization of materials at the nanoscale. He specifically investigates how light interacts with nanostructured surfaces for applications in chemical sensing and biomedical imaging. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the Université de Bordeaux, he is affiliated with the Bone and Joint Institute. He teaches courses in physical chemistry and supervises graduate students exploring molecular electronics, and he is currently available for new doctoral student supervision.
