I am a Canada Research Chair in Sustainability and Equity and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment at Western University. Alongside Co-Director Mateus Tremembé, I am Director of the Towards Equitable Sustainability Transitions (TEST) Lab, where we collaborate with communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis through projects focused on traditional food systems, climate adaptation planning, and visual storytelling.

Before joining Western, I was an Assistant Professor of Community Food Systems at the Trent School of the Environment. My PhD is from UBC’s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, and I have degrees in Sociology from the University of Manitoba where I used to teach courses on social inequality and power.
