Professor Jan Cami conducts research in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University. His scholarly work emphasizes astrochemistry, interstellar matter, and infrared spectroscopy, particularly the study of large carbon molecules in space. He investigates the chemical evolution of the universe and the life cycles of stars through observational data from space telescopes. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and serves as the Director of the Hume Cronyn Memorial Observatory. He supervises graduate students in the Institute for Earth and Space Exploration and is currently available for student inquiries and outreach collaboration.
