Assistant Professor Debra Bartley holds a cross-appointment in the Departments of Paediatrics and Surgery at Western University. Her research focuses on pediatric surgery and neonatal congenital anomalies, investigating surgical outcomes for infants requiring complex thoracic or abdominal interventions. She utilizes longitudinal studies to track the growth and development of pediatric surgical patients. Her mission is to advance the surgical care of children through innovative techniques and specialized perioperative management. She provides clinical supervision for residents and medical students within the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. She holds a Doctor of Medicine and specialized fellowship training in pediatric surgery.
