BIO

Associate Professor Daniel Goldman, Department of Medical Biophysics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on microcirculatory hemodynamics, mass transport, blood flow regulation, diabetes, and blood-tissue oxygen transport. His work uses experiment-based computational modeling to study how capillaries and arterioles regulate oxygen delivery and perfusion in skeletal muscle and brain in health and disease. His mission is to explain how microvascular function breaks down and how those mechanisms can inform better understanding of vascular disease. He also contributes to graduate training in medical biophysics at Western University.
