Associate Professor Emily Lalone serves in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University. Her research program integrates musculoskeletal biomechanics, medical imaging, and rehabilitation science to improve patient care after bone injuries. She specifically investigates the mechanical factors that influence fracture healing and the development of post-traumatic arthritis. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, she co-directs the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory. She supervises graduate students in biomedical engineering and orthopedic surgery and is currently available for doctoral mentorship in the Bone and Joint Institute and the School of Biomedical Engineering.
