Assistant Professor Claudia Susana Caxaj in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University, Faculty of Health Sciences, researches global health, migrant farmworkers’ health, community health, health equity, and participatory action research. Her work examines the health, safety, human rights, belonging, and service access of migrant, immigrant, and refugee populations across diverse contexts. Her research mission is to advance anti-racist, community-engaged approaches that improve health and social supports for structurally marginalized groups. She supervises graduate students in nursing, and a notable highlight is her receipt of a Western Research Excellence Award.
