Professor Manuel M. Montero-Odasso, Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on dementia treatment and prevention, mild cognitive impairment, frailty, gait performance, and motor biomarkers. As Director of the Gait and Brain Lab, he studies how mobility and cognition interact in aging and uses clinical trials, exercise, cognitive training, and personalized medicine to delay dementia and falls. His mission is to improve brain health by integrating mobility science into aging care. He also leads national dementia research initiatives and holds the Wolfe Research Professorship in Aging.
