Monika Lee, Ph.D., is a Canadian poet and full professor in the English Department at Western University, where she teaches literature. While a professor at Brescia University College, Dr. Lee served as Chair of the School of Humanities, plus dozens of other committees, ranging from Development and Hiring Committees to the Western University Senate. She also won Brescia’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Professor Monika Lee is author of two poetry books, a scholarly book, two poetry chapbooks, a staged play, the libretto of an opera, an award-winning short story, and many poems in Canadian and international literary journals. She has published scholarly articles on P.B. Shelley, nineteenth-century literature, Canadian literature, medieval literature, and creative writing.
