Wayne Martino is Professor of Equity and Social Justice Education in the Department of Critical Policy, Equity and Leadership Studies. 

His research focuses on schooling, pedagogy, critical policy analysis centred on LGBTQI youth and educators in the education system. He is committed to anti-oppressive frameworks for researching equity issues in education and what these mean specifically for addressing gender and sexual diversity in education.

Professor Martino has published 17 books (5 authored and 12 edited) and over 110 refereed papers/book chapters with a citation h-index of 51 and over 10,000 citations.
