Associate Professor Timothy Turkstra, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on neuroanesthesia, airway management, GlideScope intubation, 3D printed aids for intubation, and Canadian Airway Guidelines. His work studies how airway tools, evidence synthesis, and practical innovation can improve safety in complex perioperative and neurosurgical settings. His research mission is to make airway and neuroanesthesia care more reliable, teachable, and evidence based. He also serves as Program Director for Neuroanesthesia and contributes to undergraduate, resident, and fellow education at Western University.
