Associate Professor Naveen Poonai serves in the Department of Paediatrics and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. His research program integrates pediatric emergency medicine, pain management, and clinical trials to optimize the care of children in acute settings. He specifically focuses on the safety and efficacy of pharmacological interventions for pediatric pain and sedation. Having earned a Medical Degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Trials, he is an affiliate of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He supervises graduate students in the field of child health research and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student supervision.
