Professor Elizabeth Hayden conducts research in the Department of Psychology at Western University. Her scholarly work emphasizes developmental psychopathology, personality, and mental health, particularly the early-life predictors of depression and anxiety in children. She investigates how temperament and family environment interact to shape the risk for emotional disorders across the lifespan. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Iowa, she is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She supervises graduate researchers in clinical psychology and is currently available for student inquiries and doctoral mentorship regarding the development of child and adolescent psychological resilience.
