Associate Professor Souzan Armstrong is a researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and the Bone and Joint Institute at Western University. Her research focuses on musculoskeletal health and connective tissue biochemistry, specifically investigating the molecular markers of arthritis and joint degeneration. She utilizes biochemical assays and proteomics to understand the progression of bone and joint diseases. Her mission is to identify novel therapeutic targets for chronic musculoskeletal conditions through basic science research. She provides extensive supervision for graduate students and laboratory researchers.
