BIO

Assistant Professor and Fieldwork Coordinator Lisa McCorquodale in Western University’s School of Occupational Therapy focuses on mindfulness, mothering, phenomenology, body mapping, and professional education practices. Her Western-linked scholarship examines how mindfulness shapes the lives of working mothers in health and social care and how reflective, embodied methods can deepen understanding of practice and identity. The research mission is to generate insight that supports women, families, and more thoughtful health and social care professional education. McCorquodale also leads fieldwork education, connecting research-informed reflection with experiential learning in occupational therapy.
