Dr. Dazhi Jiang, a structural geologist, is Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, working in the Laboratory for Structural Geology & Tectonics at Western University. Dr. Jiang is also a Distinguished Professor at Northwest University, China. He integrates multiscale structural analysis with continuum physics and numerical modelling. A recent research concentration has been on developing self-consistent models based on continuum micromechanics for the understanding of multiscale fabrics in deformed rocks, as well as the application and validation of such models in orogenic belts.
