BIO
Professor Hugh A. L. Henry, Department of Biology, Western University, leads research in plant ecology, biogeochemistry, global change biology, community ecology, and nutrient cycling. His work uses field experiments, laboratory methods, and theoretical modelling to study how plants and microorganisms regulate nutrient dynamics and respond to environmental change from the level of individual plants to whole ecosystems. His research mission is to understand how terrestrial ecosystems function under climate and nutrient stress. He also teaches Ecology, Seminar in Ecology and Evolution, and Global Change Biology and directs the Environmental Sciences Western Field Station.
