Associate Professor Abdel-Rahman Lawendy conducts research in the Department of Surgery at Western University. His scholarly work emphasizes orthopedic trauma, microcirculation, and bone healing, focusing on the physiological response to skeletal injury. He investigates the use of advanced therapies to prevent compartmental syndrome and improve the management of complex fractures. Holding both a Medical Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is a member of the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate researchers exploring the molecular basis of muscle and bone recovery and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student supervision.
