Assistant Professor Biao Feng serves in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Western University. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of diabetic complications and the role of non-coding RNAs in tissue fibrosis. He investigates the epigenetic regulation of gene expression in chronic kidney and heart disease to identify novel therapeutic targets. His mission is to advance the understanding of metabolic diseases through cellular and molecular pathology. Dr. Feng provides research supervision for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. He is dedicated to exploring the intersection of pathology and regenerative medicine to improve long-term outcomes for patients with diabetes.
