Kim Solga is Professor of English and Writing Studies and Director of the Program in Theatre Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Western. She writes and teaches about feminist, queer, and decolonial theatre and performance, and has interests in both contemporary theatre work on Turtle Island/Canada and Early Modern Performance Studies.

Kim's most recent book is Women Making Shakespeare in the 21st Century (Cambridge Elements, 2024); she is the author of three further solo books, and editor of six further volumes. Kim's current SSHRC-funded project is called "Making Decolonial Shakespeare; it is a collaboration among artists and scholars that seeks to support, learn from, and platform the creation room practices of theatre makers from historically marginalized communities who are working with Shakespeare and his contemporaries in non-traditional ways.
