BIO
Wing-Yiu Choy, PhD. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Western University, and with a cross-appointment in Chemistry. I lead a research group that uses nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and complementary biophysical techniques to study intrinsically disordered proteins. My lab integrates experimental and computational approaches to elucidate the structure, dynamics, and interactions of disordered proteins, with the goal of understanding how conformational behaviour governs specificity and affinity for targets. Our research mission is to explain the molecular mechanisms by which intrinsically disordered proteins function at atomic levels.
