Professor Martin Houde serves in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University. His research program integrates astrochemistry, star formation, and polarimetry to examine the role of magnetic fields in the interstellar medium. He focuses on developing analytical tools and observations that clarify how gas and dust collapse to form new stellar systems. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Illinois, he is affiliated with the Institute for Earth and Space Exploration. He teaches courses in observational astronomy and supervises graduate students in the field of radio astronomy, and he is currently available for doctoral mentorship.
