Associate Professor Debra L. Nousek, Department of Classical Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Western University, researches Roman republican history, Greek and Latin historiography, Greek oratory, and numismatics, with a sustained focus on Julius Caesar, historical prose, and the rhetoric of political representation. Her research mission is to clarify how Roman and Greek authors construct history, authority, and public persuasion through narrative form and language. Nousek also teaches and contributes to graduate training in Greek and Roman history at Western University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Rutgers University and continues major research on Caesarian prose and historiography.
