Professor Lisa Hodgetts, Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Social Science, Western University, is an anthropological archaeologist whose research emphasizes Community Archaeology, Digital Heritage, Zooarchaeology, Equity and Diversity in Archaeological practice, and Arctic archaeology. Working primarily with Inuvialuit research partners in the western Canadian Arctic, Hodgetts co-leads the Inuvialuit Living History Project and studies heritage, landscape, ethics, and power in archaeological training and fieldwork. Hodgetts’s research mission is to build relational, community-led archaeology that supports digital heritage and more equitable professional practice. Hodgetts teaches archaeology and graduate professionalization, supervises research, and has received major teaching awards at Western University.
