Professor Isaac Luginaah, Department of Geography and Environment, Faculty of Social Science, Western University, is a health geographer whose research spans Geography of Health and Health Care, Environment and Health, population health, GIS applications in health, and environmental exposure. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and Co-Director of the Western Centre for Climate Change, Sustainable Livelihoods and Health, Luginaah studies environment-health linkages, ambient air quality and health in Southwestern Ontario, and HIV and AIDS in Africa. Luginaah’s research mission is to build evidence on how environmental and social conditions shape health inequities. Luginaah teaches public health and environment and supervises graduate research on health, climate resilience, food security, and stigma reduction.
