Professor Jorge Burneo is a researcher in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, and health services research with a focus on improving access to surgical treatments for seizure disorders. He seeks to understand the epidemiology of epilepsy and the socioeconomic factors that influence patient care outcomes. Holding a Medical Degree and a Master of Public Health, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience and the Director of the Epilepsy Program. He supervises graduate researchers in neurology and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student inquiries.
