Professor Marie Savundranayagam is situated in the School of Health Studies at Western University. Her research specializes in gerontology, dementia caregiving, and communication strategies, focusing on improving the relationship between caregivers and persons living with dementia. She works to develop educational interventions that reduce caregiver burden and enhance the quality of life for aging populations. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Kansas, she is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She directs the Sam Katz Community Health and Aging Research Unit and is currently available to supervise graduate students in health and aging research.
